One of these piles was cooked (got too hot) and one was composted correctly! Hint, dark chocolate vs. coco color is a good way to identify good compost from bad compost.

Soil is a great water purifier! Especially when managed biologically and organically. Soils clean water through physical, chemical and biological systems. We need to find more ways to allow soil to provide this basic service to us, so we can keep our environment, and ourselves.
